I snapped this at the Procession of the Species parade on Saturday at 35mm focal length at f/5, 1/250 s, and ISO-250. If I could have taken the time to think about and set up for the shot (the chaos of the parade did not lend itself to that), I would have slowed down the shutter speed to get a trailing effect with her drumsticks.
Great photo Chuck. You really captured the essence of the parade with the crowd in the background - the expression (or lack thereof)on the drummers face - vivid colors - and the drumstick in the foreground definitely shows movement.

The blur of the drumsticks as captured works well! If you slower it more, the rest of the image may not be as sharp. Tough capturing events and street scenes. This is successful.
